CAÑAMAN IN CZECH REPUBLIC AND GERMANY

Capleton ,already known as king Shangó, who went
to
Port Antonio to a big Sound System on the beach (with
a big bonfire of course).
And Malijah, new singer with a splendid melodic voice
who will be presented to the public in a short time.
The video was film by "Los Maiden" (Daniel Gil

CAÑAMAN AND BOA MUSIC
After one year of searching, Cañaman
found at last a label to support their brand-new CD. Boa
Music is fortunately one of the few labels in Spain to trust
in Reggae Music (Congratulations!) , to know that there's
a lot of art and talent in the streets and to see in their
artists more than just a way to get money...
The new production is coming out in the
early year with the name "Fronteras" (Borders)
and as you may know it´s recorded enterely in Jamaica
(in November 2002) thanks to the executive producer Nando
García.
At last Cañaman captures the true essence of their
live by producing the album themselves with the legendary
Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare .
The album also features top Jamaican recording
artists like Capleton, Anthony B, Marcia Griffiths, Louie
Kulcha...
All the work, the energy and the desire to make a dream
come true makes this album something very special.

PRESENTATION IN JAMAICA OF THE NEW CD "FRONTERAS"
(BORDERS)
From the 10th to the 18th of August, Cañaman
went back to Jamaica to introduce to all the medias their
brand-new CD which is coming out in January 2004 (third
studio CD of the band).
It took place August the 12th in "Ashanti
Oasis"
(Kingston) organized by Shirley Hanna (Manager of the band
in Jamaica) and hosted by Mutabaruka (respected Rasta poet
and Dj in Irie FM).
Many collaborators in the album , press , TV and some curious
people came to the event.
Mutabaruka , Nando García (Executive producer of
the band) and Cañaman said a few words about "Fronteras".
"This presentation
is a trial by fire for Cañaman. We wanted to
present the CD in Jamaica because the record was produced
enterely here.
And we are waiting to see the reactions of all the medias
while hearing
Reggae made out of their borders
(and in Spanish!)"
Nando
"This is a dream...It´s
incredible to hear Mutabaruka
speaking about Cañaman and having had the possibility
to make a production like that..."
Cañaman
The following days Cañaman did some
radio and TV presentations: Irie FM, Kool FM, Carribean
Beat, TV J (First TV channel in Jamaica), The observer (Newspaper),
The result was very positive. One of the
radios even asked the band to come to play
in their anniversary...
